FUTURE HELICOPTERS BE DIESEL POWERED?

I was looking into something else but instead found this work, WILL FUTURE HELICOPTERS BE DIESEL POWERED? at
.
Something interesting for future works, here, maybe. Nobody has bothered about this for over 2 decades now!

Abstract:An investigator has found that, if current gas turbine engines in helicopters are replaced by compound adiabatic diesel engines, fuel savings of 40% are possible. This would hold true if the diesel engines are retrofitted to the current helicopter fleet or adapted to new helicopter designs. Problems such as engine placement, weight, and lubrication exist but may be surmountable with proper design.
